Carrie is the founder and designer of bare2blu. She started sewing outfits and costumes as a little girl in rural East Oklahoma. In those days she used discarded clothes, fabrics and whatever she could find to dress her most stylish Barbies! As a designer, artist and stylist, she has produced events, brand activations and openings, creating memorable and one-of-a-kind experiences. Now she brings her personal style and her love of color and fabric patterns together with her belief in putting positive energy into the world in her new B2B creations. Carrie brings an optimistic spirit and love to all that she does, and she believes each person has a beauty and style all their own that should be celebrated in every way.
‘My love for sewing and style started at the very early age of ten. I had received a Barbie doll for my birthday, and of course, I wanted all the outfits to go with her but couldn’t afford them. So, I decided to begin hand sewing her little outfits using old shirts and socks or whatever we had around the house…with my parents’ approval of course! I fell in love with style and how Barbie felt as I put her new clothes on. She looked beautiful. I think we all should feel confident and look beautiful in our own way.’
